Happy Deepawali
Recently, my brother when asked to pick 'one' from the shuttle racket that he was demanding from a loong time and the fire crackers for diwali, picked the racket without any hesitation which, according to my dad, left a horrendous look on my mom's face who made the offer. He sure is smart!!(Afterall he is my Bro..) My dad burst into laughter while narrating on the phone. My mom should know its not with me,who always was a *good boy* to leave everything for her choice, she is dealing with.
This doesnt stop with just 'things'. Last december I was at my sisters house and was talking to mom on phone telling her that I will be back starting tomorrow. Nephew of mine insisted on him talking on the phone and pestered me to handover the receiver and said "Padma, mama is not coming anywhere and will stay here" and hung up the phone with not more than a single word. I was taken aback! Even I dont call my mother with her name and he is just 3 years old!!! Finally he succeded in making me stay over there for three more days by using a lot of children's ways and using crying as the final option.
They have all their weapons ready to shoot at. They make their face look angry, sad, pleasing and almost everytime a stubborn face can be expected for sure if nothing works. They look so pleasant with any emotion they unknowingly try to puton with a smile on their face;everything would go their way.If the things are not going their way they always opt for the not-so-concealed weapon which everyone fears, further denying anyone from granting their wish. Ofcourse its the crying part!
ANd finally my Bro got the racket and ofcourse even the firecrackers. Its almost four years since I have enjoyed diwali time at home. We live in the same rented house since past twenty one years in a street which consists of almost six houses. Everyone accepted our intrusion into their lives as if we belong to their family and now its actually difficult to see us deseparate. Two of the houses consists of grandfathers and grandmothers whose children live far from them and its difficult to come home for every diwali. Since I was the only child in the street, I am the only one who used to enjoy all the crackers and most of the sweets.
I miss the serious looks my mom delivers as I accept the sweets offered by one of the grandmothers.
I miss my dad scolding me for not being careful and them backing me up asking my dad to shutup!!
I miss the night which was usually very long making me escatic and boast about the amount of crackers I lit, consisting of three packs one from my dad and the two from the other two families, back in school.
I miss my grandma who is always scared and keeps on repeating the same lines.. to be careful and always use a loong thread to light a bomb and so on....
I miss everyone and every part of my home right now!
Damn the nostalgia!I soo wish to be at home :((
I have never been able to churn out the long, verbose, grand greetings like those on the e-cards. so in a plain, simple way
"Happy deepawali". Have a fantastic and most importantly a safe day. Enjoy yourselves.

Things never to be given a shot
! answering the paper for the first 6 mins in which 4 mins 45 seconds are wasted reading the questions and the other 15 seconds to decide the questions to be attempted which virtually turn out to be zero albeit the ego which makes you attempt a question wasting another minute.
the next one hour forty minutes end
! calculating the relative writing speed of your fellow beings who are seriously penning down everything they know and something you dont know and probably will never know.
! counting the number of fans in the examination hall and may equalize them with the number of hairfollicles the invizilator has.
! notice someone who surprisingly looks gorgeous at that moment. Examtime is indeed weird.
! Hoping an end to the dreadful examtime, you look at the clock every fifteen minutes to notice the minute hand at the same position and the seconds hand making a swift 15 secs move and clinch your teeth with anger.
! (blank unromantic thoughts for sometime)
Last fifteen minutes..
You try to fill in the paper with some ink.
Winding up you look into your own paper once again and find something meaningful which is going to be latin and french to the professor.
Once you are out of the room, hearing people call the paper and prof with "special" names takes the edge off your inner side which feels guilty for not slogging. Otherwise you may end up cursing movies and football.
So why take chance?
Never try to change the habit of reading on the final day for the sake of change.

whats truth and whats not!
People can use the Web to make 'people' believe Arsenal lashed the hell out of Manchester United as their striking pair Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar scored thrice and people actually fight against each other to have their say in who is gonna remain in the Arsenal team!!! And dictators are using the opportunity to the fullest. Ok if we get on this issue further, even media can be(come) a culprit.
Not patient enough to go throuh that post, then this is what I found. Check it out, I don't think I disappoint you.
Whats the truth and how can I believe something I see in the everyday newspaper is indeed real?I fear these thoughts which makes me get back to the unfinished movie!!
Now dont doubt me whether I am actually watching a movie or not.

We need no education of this kind
Ten years of our life; our parents felt relieved to have them. They taught us everything... being kind, helping others, to know our rights and duties, pinpointing the mistake, fun and discipline. Sadasiva sir is simply known for the discipline while hanumanth sir and hindi sir always backed us. Kenneth sir never took a side and never directly blamed us instead he used to tell real life stories which made us realise the mistake from our side. We did make mistakes and were scolded and shown the wrath of the stick but that was all after reasoning out everything behind the mistake;what led to the mistake and further decided to teach us wrong and right but its not treated as a punishment unless and untill the mistake is intentionally done. And there is no discrimination between the top student and the below average student. Sadasiva sir used to have a very exceptional habit of nicknaming each and every student in the class and those were really funny and some are objectable but who cares! Ofcourse there is an unspoken rule that students shouldnot tease eachother calling the nicknames that were given by sir. Now we chid among ourselves calling eachother with those names. If a student is somehow at the receiving end in the school then he can be assured that he is gonna get the same yet again and now from parents. If a teacher has punished my son he has done something terrible is the idea parents had and those were the days. Those teachers are with us from the starting of our life and the relationship that existed between us is something special which makes us to consider their view in a fatal decision even now.
But now, its all different. Students nowadays doesnt even know teacher's name and knowing every pupils name has become difficult for present day teacher. The school has become big, not in a small way, but in every possible way. The student number has gone into thousands and the buildings and classrooms are increased and the strength of teachers is increased. The only thing that has been decreased on paper was the ground area. People like me crib over that when we meet our teachers and they laugh saying parents are not interested to send children to a school which has more gaming facilities. The important of all is the relationship between teacher and the student which is deteriorating with the years. Parents fighting with the management whenever the teacher scolds the pupil for a purpose and students knowing their rights without having any idea of the duties makes everything even worst. World has changed and the attitude is changed and I dont have any idea if this kind of primary education is going to help the little children, who are now waiting outside the principal office for an admission , down the lane after few years.
That was all about the essential education and coming to the higher education, its even worse. Professor doesn't care for anything except the one hour he uses to teach. Its fine now. We are grownups and there is no need to spoon feed or whatever the reason is from their side. But I hear something from a professor who taught us and I am glad i didnt take his course. He blurted out saying students below 3 dont understand the rules.(Our CPI system is based on four point scale). Its not out of anger, he has time to think but still he accused students based on their level according to him which I have never seen in my childhood and these guys have done Phd's :((
Its not that Phd has something to do with commonsense but still a professor has to be a teacher initially and I go nuts thinking further. He is concerned with the exam timetable he has prepared for the institute and now insists on punishing the students who has taken courses from a particular group(after taking the permission from the respective prof's) which will definitely clash. He calls on a meeting not for resolving the problem but to decide the punishment. Reasoning behind the mistake is not a concern which as a teacher is primary according to me while he is deciding the future of someone.
Now that particualr child who is in the principal office if been given admission may later become a professor similar to this prof. Such professors are not to be given a chance;for that the world should revert to the normal state where teachers used to be teachers and students used to be students and education used to be education rather than everything being a business and ego satisfaction being the primary concern.

Ghostly cows and deadly dogs!
The first week, initially spent loiterring around the college 24/7 sprang to life as the registration date came up and made most of us here in the college run to and fro to the bank. Most of the guys are still at home and sent the dd's or left the cheque books so that we can draw the money and pay for them. There must be some unknown chemistry between me and the bank guys. A problem awaits everytime I need the job to be done immediately and by gods grace if they are not going to create one, I create it myself.
I woke up a bit early in the afternoon that day and in a trance found the total amount that is to be drawn and filled an already signed blank cheque by subhash and left for the bank. After I handed over the cheque to the cashier, I noticed something which at that instant I wished and prayed she wouldn't notice. Alas, she did and was startled to find something really really interesting; afterall its my birthdate in the date coloumn of the cheque. I cursed myself, laughed and said "ohhh! it should be 2006 not 1986" and she laughed in return(that hurts) and asked me to get it right and also get the signature of the owner of the cheque who is in Hyd at that time!!! Cleared the mess by transferring the money to anunag's account and got the money in time. ICICI guys are really fast.
The second week, the first week of the classes and nothing much except the confusion over compiler design prof who declared compiler to be a hardware and found a sudden increase in the inflow to that particular elective. Everyone wants to have a break in the final year and prof's are making lives much simpler. That saturday, I along with deepu, anunag and psr went to ahmedabad and it was late in the night while we were returning. It started to drizzle and the view through the helmet's glass was blurred. Should have stopped the bike and cleaned it up. Should have searched for a handkerchief and wiped it up. Should have stopped for a while for the rain to stop. Neverthless we went on dashing through, finally ending up head butting a lonely cow on the heavenly highway.
It came from nowhere, all of a sudden. The last thing I heard was anunag shouting but couldnt see anything. The last thing I saw and understood was I am the special someone, unlike zidane, who has got the opportunity to headbutt the cow. It could have been the path to heaven or hell if there were other vehicles behind us. It was a sigh of relief to find everyone safe with almost no injuries!! Hopefully, let it be my first and last accident. The very next day, the sumo we were travelling almost killed a cow which came onto the road all of a sudden!! I just hate gujarati cows. They dont seem to have an idea to follow the minimum traffic rules.
Into the third week of the month and I decided not to leave the college, not even if kiran more promises to take ganguly into the team. Little later that week, I discovered that it is useless to take ridiculous decisions. In the last month there were nights when we found dogs sleeping on empty beds but this time I found something soft enough under my feet to wake me up looking in to two glowing eyes gazing calmly at me. Imagine to be in a forest with all the animals with glowing eyes surrounding you!!The only one way out of the room is blocked by the dog which just kept staring as if I am unnecessarily creating a scene while everyone in the room is sleeping quite peacefully till then. The little shreak I made was enough for my roomy to be awake and we both stared at each other!! Infact it three of us staring at each other for sometime, neither of us moving an inch. The dog felt awkward and tried to open the door to leave the room but couldnt open the damn door. It took nearly fifteen minutes for me to open the door hanging by the wall while balancing on the couch and letting the dog out of the uncomfortable situation. Its really a bad idea to open the door and sleep for the fresh air :( and I hate daiict dogs too. Not even having the minimum commonsense to knock the door before pushing and coming in.
The final week of the month and the sluggish nature imparted obliviously by the very idea of being a final year student slowly and gradually let me into a kind of state reminding me of this post by Ritesh. Its apparently dull and its almost a month I am actually away from the internet!! Hibernation as he says, and the reason for the state is unknown. Stopping any work in the middle and watching five to six movies in four hours, playing games and restarting at the very first goal against my team, trying to open the browser and closing as soon as it prompts for the password.... genuinely this month is real real bad. I even forgot my bro's birthday and my dad had to convince him to talk on the phone. Sometimes brothers are real stubborn and August turns out to be ghastly this year!!

The so called Research Internship days
How can something be so beautiful and so repulsive at the same time; alternating between the potentially-so-important days which decide our life and future, and carefree days when one has nothing to do with the freedom of sleeping whenever we wish. These two months of so called holidays remain to be something that i can never remember.
The research internship, if it is what they call "research internship" as to wake up at 6 in the evening and sleep in the early hours of the day making good use of the remaining hours to watch friends and spend the rest of the time in the canteen discussing about the possibility of death of arjun singh (if its the only reason the idea of reservation can come to a halt), the thoughts pondering over the rise in the cpi's (the displeasing standard of measuring the students) of every couple around and why dont we have a 1:1 male-female ratio, having a go at deepu's bizzare skills in singing, listening to palakol's escapades including all the proposals he made, people still talking to me about ganguly, incessant drizzling over here which was enjoyable during the first few days and later desolating the ambiance.... ahhhh i started to hate rain, people discussing about the mock scores and the hottest topic remains to be... no not at alll the girls but the increasing dog population here and why is that.. will let you know.
Life sucks!!!!
Can you even imagine a dog sleeping on the bed resting it's (sry, animal lovers. his/her's) head over the pillow? And gleefully that pillow remains to be on one of the beds in one of the rooms in one of the wings in the hostel which should be a place for a student to rest his head on. It happens only in daiict and many more likely things happen over here.
Deepu singing the song from kaante and if you think its as normal as it can be, yes it is as normal as pamela anderson's wedding attire.
Fountain in the middle of the canteen springs into life only if the drizzling turns out to be a downpour and we enjoy the sight of it in the rain. Seriously!!!!
There is something special about the couples in daiict. Not only the students who turns out to be studs after coupling up, but even the profs!! The management is making sincere (as they say) attempts to increase the faculty and yeah its pretty clear how sincere they are by choosing prof's wife or prof's husband(yet to happen) to be included in the teaching staff. Why the hell they dont get to think about making students come to the classes? atleast then they can find out the imbalance and my juniors in the later years can all be studs with the 1:1 ratio as that is the only possible perception that our present management can intutively get on. I cant forget the economics tutorials with 100% attendence for the obvious unmentionable reason.
The sprinklers on the weekends sprinkling water all over the lawns. Its the state of absolute normalcy if its not raining here continuously over the past few weeks forming sort of small ponds in the very lawn with the sprinker on. Now its like watching people who are so much obsessed with gardening that they start to water the plants by holding a red umberella in one hand and the water pipe in the other while the rain god enjoys his time.
This is not my research area, but still these are research internship days and one has to stick to very rule that what ever he do, he has to be sincere. Few more days to go, let me start my research internship!

Spell Bound
Seriously I have no words to speak right now. After a looooong night, am still awake to stomach something and see what i found in todays hindustan times!!!! Indian Govt. blocked blogspot or should i say in its terms, it stopped terrorists from talking to each other via blogs and truly they are going to face some serious communication problems due to the superduper act initiated by the Govt. and could stop (blog)terror for a while. What the heck is this!!!!
Not long time ago i thanked God for me not being in Pakistan after watching the news of blogspot being blocked and restricted there. But seriously, we are a democratic country... come on, freedom of speech ka kya hua bhaaaai? After this profane act, i am curious about the blogs I read and while surfing through the RSS feeds, what made the government to take that (ridiculous to U and Me) step? may be
!!the content like TOI( Times Of India aka Toilet of India aka Terrorists of India)
!!SIMI(that pooor guy was referring to Priyanka Chopra in Bluff Mater and was arrested)
!!Abu (Looks like the Govt. e-police left the "Mt." before Abu and are wading through the archives to find the info about Mr.Abu salem)
!!Mafia (I seriously doubt boblichiki aka Rahul is a terrorist now. He is the one who made me play that game and explained the rules of that game and i read the info in numerous blogs. And rahul shifted to Hyd recently. Skeptical enough)
!!
.Mao is great! tsk tsk.... (that post continues as far as I rememeber)
.Bong doctor is good. He says we should meet him every week there.
( My goodness!!! for godsake, HE who has decrypted that should have been the security protocols TA for us)
!!I am not visiting Andaman or rather any other island.Waste of time. (Anonymous blogger as a comment to post containing the above point and hence no ban in Andaman and Lakshadweep)
!!I remember this guy mentioning something seriously about Cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine.
Now i see the interests of the Govt. in blocking the blogspot and the freedom.
I support the government (w)hole-heartedly.By seezing the freedom of speech they can clearly create a communication gap and the terrorists giveup their intentions as they are unable to read others blogs and particularly mine. (yaar i mentioned SIMI and Abu and I even know rdx formula!). There will be no need for our jawans to fight against anyone. What they need to do is Sit, Block, Eat, Block, Sleep...Block even in sleep.
Final word: Am never going to vote!

Choice is yours.
I firmly believe something very bad has been said on the pitch to zizou and whoever doesnt, (can) skip the further part.
Zizou has preffered his own choice that seemed to be right at that time, keeping aside the benifits if he hasnt preffered his own self making it clear he is no more a God. I do support what he did. As deepu stated zizou couldn't stand the abuse whatever it is, and he made that clear to everyone pushing all his fans and the homeside to agony. But still i dont see anything wrong, he may be a proffessional as said by Psr, but still he is a human and he has his own preferences and has made his choice. The thin line was blanced more by his self-esteem.
Dont the movie actors represent the country? I will take that nod as an yes. Arent they followed? Arent they treated as idols by the children and the youth? Is the nod a big Yes? Then why are they portraied to kill people who have done something wrong to them or the country(a sudden thought of sunny deol) on the screen? Why are there fights if someone abuses or illtreats someone they care for(ranging from people to any statue) on the screen? What i wanted to point out is that, we dont care about them being shown as heroes killing someone though we know there may be chances of them being followed. We leave the choice of what to be followed and what not to, to the choice of the children or the parents. The parents guide the children which movies to watch and what not to... then why not they teach them to learn the good from zizou and treat it as a good example of the conditions that need a little bit more patience and especially how to choose the right choice. But still, if the child believes his self has been wounded and that was prior to anything other for him, I say zizou's act will be repeated and its absolutely not wrong.
Zizou was playing for the country, for the millions of his fans and for HIMSELF. I dont think there is a need for him to apologize to the children; Yes he has to feel sorry for the nation and his teammates whom he has let down by his act which costed them the worldcup, but neither the children nor the fans. The only wrong about his act was them loosing the cup and i feel the better side didn't win. (Better team by dropping the coach from the team)
Update:This post has been written even before zidane talked to the media and not published tho' for more updating work. :D

Its been 35 years
Yeah cut the crap and see the positives-- inveterate fan.
Accepted, but what about the oneday series and the two tests that were close; in one, with three overs remaining and one wicket to claim and the other, requiring a huge total to chase but the only thing that went wrong was the attitude; attitude of the captain and the team.It may not be possible according to dravid who refers to history but atleast giving it a try is not that bad to think keeping in mind that the wicket was good enough to bat. Going to carribean with a team full of youngsters, a move eyeing the worldcup has gone wrong comletely and chappell has to reconsider his every step right now.Selecting venugopal rao and keeping laxman aside, leaving out zaheer and dinesh mongia; whatever the team is and whoever is selcting the team, i am rather curious about the selction process now. zaheer banged a 9 wicket haul and dinesh mongia having a very good season, may it be the county cricket but performance is what that matters and thats what we are doing.... celebrating a win over a team ranking eighth.
This series may have added a page in the indian cricketing history after 35 years but still clearly shows how good we are, out of the subcontinent!! Dravid as a batsmen is simply superb all over the series but as a captain, i may be a bit harsh but i seriously cant accept him being the captain anymore after seeing the field placements and, handling the pressurised stiuations(as a captain) demand something more like what we have seen in the tests, all what we need is a wicket and munaf patel 'may be' the chocie but sreesanth!!!!!!
we want more, more from the gods. aren't they?

Placement fever
Life these days has been exciting to say the least if not fun. These placement days has shown me a lot of drama, suspense, tragedy and action. Nothing romantic. Finally, its over. After two and half weeks of melodrama I finally made it into Infosys. It all started very early just 10 days after the sem exams. I dunno why, but I worked on my resume ‘n’ number of times as if my future is tied to it. The Personal achievements column in the resume is something I couldn’t get and I took almost four hours to fill it up. Is it what we think as personal achievement or what companies expect us to achieve since childhood? I had one and only one option to fill it up. Friends!
And I know it should be filled with something that makes sense to the senseless ppl and am left with no options rather than writing something seriously stupid.
On the very first day, after the Mindtree test any doubts of me having a little knowledge of C are thrashed to hell and I felt like another akthar being bashed by sachin. Like any other DA-IICTian I thought the company doesn’t have the luck to have me there working for them and slept peacefully.
The next day when I woke up I was a bit frantic about Infosys. I dunno why I was so despo about a company shipping people but still the feeling of me getting over the technical test sent shivers through the spine. Thankfully they had an aptitude test and nothing technical. I never stood before the notice board to watch my name, be it to search for results or to find my name in the flunked list. But this time I was there sweating in the hot sun to see my name in the list that is to be announced. The result was soon released and the list was not showing my name and that was a heartbreaking moment! But it was a moment of relief when I was told about the other lists that are to be put up in few mins and there I am waiting hopefully and atlast after seeing my name and the time of the interview, rushed to my room, took a quick bath and then into the formals quickly and search for a belt and then the shoes. I never felt so awkward standing in the formals with shoes but sigh of relief when almost every known person in the college is in formals and it looked as if I am in some primary school. Finally after the interviews and a looong session of announcing the final list, party time and almost 153 students made into it. Calls to home and srinu and I am thankful to all who wished me success.
Am I happy? Yes I am!!!! Because more than me getting a job, the ordeal is finally over. If its not that day, I am confident about me being jobless after the total placement process. Every other company asking for the technical knowledge and without any preparation, for students who just carryon the baton by the grace of friends who teach before the exams and one day batting, it’s a huge blow to ask the inner and outer joins or the triggers in SQL or number of pins 8085 chip has.
Apart from placements, the temperature here after the placements has suddenly gone down and I deleted my orkut account. It was predecided and not an imitation. I will definitely return but need some time and Loong sessions of sleep and bakar and lots of leg pulling!! and lots of pathetic movies like fanaa, tenth class and some good movies. Life seems to be okay :)

Tag -3
This is not the first time I was tagged... but this is the first time I am going to answer a tag. Others, no sulking! Decided to reply all the tags in the descending order of dates of their origins. Not every decision has a reason.
Getting down to the business, it was the crime master Abhay who has initiated this weapon with a chain reaction to get to know the(most)embracing situations in
Listing them in the ascending order of their inception. Yet again, every decision need not have a reason.
It was Annual sports day and I was enjoying the free time moving around cheering up friends who are participating and persuading them to treat me if they win. FYI, I am not comfortable with these outdoor games or sports, leave alone cricket and running is out of my dictionary. That day we had 100mts sprint and I was standing there watching and was betting on the winner. I just came to know, I am gud at guessing. There is this Sir who called me up and asked me to join the row as one person is missing and participate in the event. Sir, u have to be kiddin.. Me and sprint. No way!!! And I was startled to hear sir announcing Mohanchandra Kodali is going to participate!!!!!! Sirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr was the shrill cry. None to rescue and had to get into it finally. Here goes the whistle and there goes the sprinters, along comes a sluggish participant. I was just a “few” feet away from the base line and heard my frnd shouting U WON, U WON, U WON, U WON!!!!!!!!!
Whaaaat on earth…. u won the bet man! You won the bet. I lifted the head only to realize the only person behind the finish line and nearer to the base line was me. Knowing that it would take 'few' mins to complete, I was off the track in secs… It was fine untill sir made the announcement of my time and the leaped distance and described my running!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why on earth should the finals of girls events be scheduled rt after this :((((
Later in 2000
Guys we do have someone to lead the class, the 'class leader'. Responsibilities of keeping the class silent during the absence of a teacher, threatning and being as devilish as one can be are the definite characteristics. One fine day my bro almot 81/2 years younger, rushed in and yelled
"Oreyyyy annayyyaaa… blah blah blah"
In simple English its "hi bro blah blah blah" but the clause Oreyyyy is just like "abey Ooo" and I was the damn class leader then.
Saga Of my Bro continues
I used to attend a summer cricket coaching camp and play matches moving around a lot away from home that particular summer. One afternoon almost everyone in our team visited my home and my Bro was delighted to see so many of us in the same white dress and was moving around jumping. Kids!!!!!
He being a kid, everyone was trying to lull him… u know the very 'kuchi kuchi'…type I don’t remember how but everyone told him his place in the team as a bowler or a batsmen!! My turn and I told him I am a Spinner. He once again asked me, what? I tried to explain by showing him three assumed wickets and the ball stepping outside the offstump and turning inside..
Splash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many more to be penned but would be better if they stick to my diary. dont want this post to be mentioned somewhere else leading to yet another embrassing situation.

achha khasa commentary!!!
guess what it would have been if its the other way round with hindi commentators initiating.
"aajka mausam bada achaa hain... aarahe hain sehwag aur dravid opening kanekeliye. jin darshako ne abhi abhi TV on karke dekhrahe hain unkeliye: India toss jeethkar batting karne ka nirnay kiya aur viru, dravid opening kar rahe hain. Aasha yahi hain ki aaj mausam se kuch problem nahi rahega! aur darshakon ko ek achha khasa match dekhne keliye milega" :o
"match ka pehle over ka pehla ball harmison ka veeru keliye. achha khaasa ball tha! ouside the offstump aur veeru ne jaane diya. ball ka bounce ko dekh kar kehsakthe hain ki pehle 15 overs batsmen keilye ek pariksha samay hosaktha hain. khaas kar sehwag ko jise ek achi baari khelna hain yahaan"
"sehwag midon ke upar se marna chahtha tha! lekin ball ka gathi aur disha ka sahi nirnay nahi kapaya. puri taraf se beat hogaya.."
-->"haan XXX. yahi tho probem hain agar koi batsmen form mein nahi hain tho koi bhi ball connect nahi hoga. bas veeru ki koshish yehi rahegi ki kuch run banaye jaye" --just forgetting the type of player sehwag is.
"achha khasa shoooooooooooooooot!!!!!!!" we jump from our seats as if it is a six but he ends up saying "third man ke taraf,ek run keliye.."
As if this commentry is not enough, the camera man adds up spice by showing us the floddlights. What he needs is just the batsmen trying to hit a shot, connected or not is least bothered. I definitely can say there would be many people who would just abuse him for just a few sec's though.. may be abuse is a big word to use here.
It was funny to have Maninder, et al. giving their commentary watching television in the studios. They had no idea of where the fielders were, and everytime Sehwag hit the ball in the air…poor maninder has no idea if it is a four, a six or its a catch or a drop catch!!
Every other time the commentator speaks out, I bet u can hear achha khasa ball or achaa khasa shot or even achhaa khasa fielding and and and achaa khasa decision! hadd hain ye tho. Its really funny to watch cricket on DD in the TV room here pushing ,smelling each others sweat, the TV room being packed with everyone bunking the classes and labs for the most liked sport in India. And if sehwag or yuvi is singing, you can hardly find a palce to fit in ur little finger and also the increase in humidity that makes us all,in the room, breathing water in air.Though the room is filled with the stiffled smell of sweat,we love it... we love it to be there, the smell being the sweating smell of hope for a six or a wicket, we love being a part of cricket.
Is it the most irritating part when watching cricket on DD? as far as I am concerned "No".. atleast i have reasons to laugh at.Anyway I dont understand why people hate criket? Atleast after such commentry we should love the game. :P The intelligent person may accept that this game,to be specific the commentry, can help some forget-to-laugh souls to get back to normal state.

The bank employees
Finally decided to try our luck for the last time, entered the Punjab National bank and asusual we found noone at the "May I Help U" counter. To our relief the DD forms were out there hanging and they even pasted a copy of a form. We filled and tried to submit in the counter "chow". There was this elderly person(EP) and PSR handed over the forms and here starts the comic show. EP asks PSR about his bank account and PSR unknowingly spills about his ICICI bank account and all of a sudden EP shows his rage.
EP: "You maintain an account there and all the benfits to them while the clerk work is being done by us. Why should we do? We do this work freely for our customers and why dont they"
PSR: "Sir the problem is i am having an A/C in Hyd and they need a cheque book for the DD...
EP: Why do they need a cheque book. we do without that!
Me(in my mind): How the hell do I know about the reasoning behind their rules. I am not the bank GM
PSR: Sir those rules were set by them.. what can we do!!
EP: so you accept its a "gundha" bank then why do you maintain an account in such a bank? they even dont have 800 branches all over india.. and we have some xxxxx branches...
Me: Its almost lab time and we even dont know whther he is going to give us the DD after all this class
PSR: that is okay sir but now...
EP interrupts: Ask that mam there... points towards an officer there
Me: God plzz save us... atleast let ma'm be sensible enough
Ma'm: Whats wrong? are u students?
PSR: Yes mam and we came here for a DD and he says(pointing to the counter chow) we can't as we dont have an account here... (rather his problem is having an ICICI account).
Ma'm: (speaks over in gujarathi) You guyz go there and you can get the DD's.Its an order.
Me: Thanks god for the lady power. Laughs silently, unseen ofcourse.
submits the form and a wait for the DD. And again.. these bank guyz are really serious and they can go on blabbering better than us!!!
EP: See you know that ICICI is a gundha bank phir bhi waha account rakthe ho!!!
PSR: (with the wtf-look on his face) Sir, We are paying the extra charges and moreover my frnd(myself) doesnt have an account there...
EP: leave the DD.. we have many facilites for the students. You can get free DDs for the fee you pay.....
Me: Gawwwwwwwwwwwwwd!!! why did you leave us all of a sudden! plzz come back.
PSR: Sir the problem is during the admissions ICICI came over there and ur bank didnt and so we have our accounts there...
EP: See you can close the accounts there and open brand new accounts here...
Me: wtf!! about to leave in an year and now again the headache from the scratch!!!! God where are you
To our relief our DDs were signed and handovered with a lauffable joke of asking to remember them after leaving INDIA.
can anyone forget such a memorable experience!!!!
PS: This was my first DD. (that was dealt by me)
No harm intended in the post! Neither every employee is harsh nor the harsh behaviour is witnessed everyday. It was mere bad experience.

Of the holiday cricket, a Spectacular match and the bank employees
You think u are the luckiest soul on earth? and if your answer to the question of watching the final one-day between Aus and SA is a big NO, then you are one among the unluckiest bunch of few wierd species. The most unbelievable game ever witnessed and the game of records, shall i say unbreakable records? After watching the enormous total put on the board by the aussies, I thought about the mental pressure and how weak the proteas would be and to my utter disbelief they chased such a huge total!!!!!! and their body language just demonstrated the wonders a positive mind can do. A real show by the batsmen hitting the ball all around into air that made it a bad bad bad day for the bowlers. And the unluckiest guyz and gals, watch it!! ESPN has gone crazy(it should be) and you can view the match if you switch the boring serials for a breathtaking game.Still if you cant get it, we have it on the hard disk!
Tha bank employees will be continued in the next post as I dont want readers to close this page after viewing the length of the post.

A week free from restricitions
Lot of gaming and lots of movies and the sleepless nights for chitchatting have occupied the place of tensions and SEN's boring fundas.Everything changing, the temperatures droppin as the climate varied substantially, no classes, no labs, no alarms, no dead lines, no submissions.... all of a sudden, I love this world and wish it to be forever the same as it is now. These days, moving around gandhinagar and ahmedabad a lot. The bird flu has shown its effect. Its almost one week I ate food in the college. aalu paratha and the snacks being the only replacables,as i hate the veg items that are available here, am helping the Salt and pepper(a small hotel) waala to grew a bit richer. This week has not yet begun, already interesting things started happening...
. PSR has started his blog... check it out here.
. Our dormant DesignProject got into Crawling state after a loooooong sleep.
. I got to know some interesting things about the indo-pak partition and Jinnah.
awaiting that is in store for me in this week.

dejected, gloomy angry and fun
i need a break to cope up with all this, to be normal again, back to my senses and here comes our midterm break, just a week full of joyful holidays!!!! is it? having the SEN project, the DesignProject, the discomp project and marketing final presentation and now comes SP into the picture(with due respect to AnishMaturia) with an assignment to be submitted the very next day to the end of holidays.. is it rt to be called a break!!!!! i prefer a loudd YES here. I would love to do things anytime I wish and this break gives me such an opprtunity. drafting this, i went wandering around the campus in the early morning. Its beautiful to be awake in the early morning watching the pigeons moving away from the corridors noticing the time as if they knew our schedule, feeling the pleasant early breeze, and all of a sudden it started to drizzle.. there is nothing more I could wish!! walking alone in such atmosphere is rejuvenating while watching arising sun never ceases to be a wonderful experience. I hope this feeling would last a bit long and i want myself to be quiet and calm, better stop talking!
and the best part of this week remains to be today when Arsenal made it into the champions league quarters crashing down the hopes of Real madrid Galacticos.Keeping aside the slow pace of Ronaldo, despair of the fans, its their lack of coordination in the last match and the bad luck and bad finishes in the second encounter with Arsenal turned out to be the actual reasons for their dismissal from the league.Wactching the second match in Arsenal homeground, goalless as it was, but its fun as both teams had done far better than the first. I was one among those thrusting fists into air merrily at 3.20 AM shouting in the TV room, least bothered about the people sleeping around. The missed popquiz ringing alarm bells, I was away from the discussions analyzing how unsatisfactory Reyes played and how splendid Lehman and his counter part played. but, here I am bloggin while the goddess of sleep nowhere in the near sight and anything new is something special!!!! isn't it? and my blog is brand new. needless to say i am loving this.
just now heard from our sen group that the test cases are done and the keys are back and i am awake and the SP class is abt to start in few mins. things turning out my way?

Nothing like weekend
Do i sound senseless and aloof ? may be you are lucky enough to be counted among those people who enjoy the weekends; atleast there is something special about your weekend, may it be blissful or miserable. I prefer to join the people(many from our coll for sure) who believe there is nothing like weekend not literally!!. Even here we can have two clans(infact more than two--- after giving it a min thought). India had been a state of various clans and ....what not! This is no exception and some of these clans :
i) Hardworking n Sincere
Though we have only five working days(damn) and this semester has been providing us with a lot of holidays, these people still can't find time to "civilize" --term you can(should) find a new definition in my dictionary. Though they have this urge to socialize, our proffessors are guarding their mind, soul and everything in this student life like dementors guarding the azkaban. While the problem there is of the very existence of voldemort, here the problem is the absence of such voldemort. To them there is nothing like weekend. It hardly makes a difference.
mind you I am not critisizing the ppl but the "system".How on earth could one person complete the Programming assignment while he is to worry about the hardware lab that is to be completed by tomorrow and the communication problems, the nightmares are omnipresent.
ii) I AM GOD LIKE
These people doesn't belong to this place, atleast they themselves believe this and hence they can be anywhere, anytime, anyway they wish;may it be a lecture or a lab or a cultural programme or anything unless its not a part of this place. There is nothing like days and dates and can we expect them to be aware of weekends!!!!!!!!!!!!!
iii) gamers
Frustrated by the atmosphere here, they prefer to be in the room rather than moving out in the sun. See them, talk to them, listen to them, feel their presence. Alas,Thank god if it happens on some sunny day but such instances can happen iff you are awake while the ghosts wander. I fear if they can bear the brightness of a mere lightray after being used to that of the monitors and stars. No fear, no responsibilites, no assignments, no labs and finally no weekends. These people are very important nowadayz in our institute as our Dean Mr.CP is initiating steps towards cutting out the LAN to reduce the impact of gaming and to transfigure these souls into bigshots.
Is the lan the real culprit or their lack of interest in "those" that our CP is looking at. clueless..
never ending debate is goin on..
iv) radha aur krishna
The couples. Though every day is special its the weekends that they look for! ( how do I know, is the right question. Did you watch irobot?) nothin much to be penned down here.. am sure they love these weekends.
v) The idle chatters
I find them everywhere. Obssessed with everything in the world from aish to any other gurl, Lalu to Bush, Saddam to Laden, Ganguly to Sachin(Can't i ever leave this topic!Uhh) Though they find no much difference between weekends and other dayz, still they look out for the weekends. Sit in a room. Look over the monitor where the game is going on and start the blabbering. Its fun man!!!! real fun.Discussing, fighting, becoming sentimental, and and and the BETS.. how many did u win? last but not the least LEG PULLING Thats the real funny part that makes up the weekend.
and these days AnishMaturia is in my dreams during the weekends with his "really really surprising quizzes" and i guess i need a good night sleep to attend his class tomorrow. Its worth it!
btw do tell me howz ur weekend?

finally am back
Joining the crowd right there discussing everything under the sun... This everything depends on the perspective and differs from person to person, time to time and right now I dunno which category I fall into.Is it right to call it a momentous phase??? hmmm may be yes after feeling the impact of gaming and presently "enlightened" to do something construtive. Replacing gaming with an age old praxis of writing crap! Henceforth you are reading this and don't blame me or gaming for the crap you are goin to read or see. btw Is there something like constructive crap?
