Unaswered Q's

Why do teachers, professors or anyone who teaches something explain the easiest of the things and loves to skip the things that are difficult to comprehend?

As a kid, I always wondered why ‘adults’ are assumed to be the only ones able to understand tough things as teachers used to say ‘Listen, you grow up and no one will teach you ABC of everything. So, get used to that from now’ and continued to explain additions and subtractions while asking us to return back by the next day solving ∫ (x²y²/x²+y²).

And as I aged I never understood why people started to say what I was used to hear frequently but now in a slightly different way. ‘Listen, you are no more a kid. No one will teach you as you were taught in the school. You have to start learning by yourself’, the professors didn’t know we were trained before hand to handle such situations, while they continued explaining what a grid is and why we use grid asking us to explore how to use a grid.

As I aged further enough to be an employee, they decide I need to be trained and was forced to sit in a class being taught by a senior who simply opens up a word document and goes on scrolling down the document reading between the lines and decides to leave the presentation room after sometime saying ‘Listen, you are not kids. You know that. Look into this document and if you don’t understand you can get back to me. I have to leave now as I am very busy.’

I don’t care about others but what I think is, he just indicated that please guys, if you don’t get what you read f**k off! Don’t ask me. I was asked to take a class and I took it. That’s it. Done! Management happy. Me happy. You (should be) happy. Everyone happy finally.

And the Question still remains.

:-D

and you'll do the same when you teach something to someone :-D

We mostly make the mistake of selecting someone as a teacher who knows a lot but can convey little

Very true.I am a victim of such prof's who are directly from good research areas but have zero knowledge of teaching thereby eating our brains. These days, 'teachers' are difficult to find. (heard my school principal saying that. Might be because of low wages..)

and you'll do the same when you teach something to someone

Definitely depends on the audience ;)
