The "Wall" led the team for a historic win. A new chapter in the Indian cricketing history, a major series win over the team ranking eighth after shocking loss in the one day series. Media suddenly forgot all the previous tests that were close enuff to win and started praising the teams victory to be historic.
Yeah cut the crap and see the positives-- inveterate fan.
Accepted, but what about the oneday series and the two tests that were close; in one, with three overs remaining and one wicket to claim and the other, requiring a huge total to chase but the only thing that went wrong was the attitude; attitude of the captain and the team.It may not be possible according to dravid who refers to history but atleast giving it a try is not that bad to think keeping in mind that the wicket was good enough to bat. Going to carribean with a team full of youngsters, a move eyeing the worldcup has gone wrong comletely and chappell has to reconsider his every step right now.Selecting venugopal rao and keeping laxman aside, leaving out zaheer and dinesh mongia; whatever the team is and whoever is selcting the team, i am rather curious about the selction process now. zaheer banged a 9 wicket haul and dinesh mongia having a very good season, may it be the county cricket but performance is what that matters and thats what we are doing.... celebrating a win over a team ranking eighth.
This series may have added a page in the indian cricketing history after 35 years but still clearly shows how good we are, out of the subcontinent!! Dravid as a batsmen is simply superb all over the series but as a captain, i may be a bit harsh but i seriously cant accept him being the captain anymore after seeing the field placements and, handling the pressurised stiuations(as a captain) demand something more like what we have seen in the tests, all what we need is a wicket and munaf patel 'may be' the chocie but sreesanth!!!!!!
we want more, more from the gods. aren't they?

abey its been 35 yrs.. i mean 35 long yrs.. windies are a team ranked 8th..agreed but that was mainly because of some internal problems rather than cricketing talent.. consider sarwan,lara,chanderpaul..
time to celebrate.. yeah we need some serious retrospection but lets leave it for the next sunday.. for now let the country dance for the victory of the blue boys..
As for the coach, let him continue with his experiments... there may be few bad results but in the end team India will gain a lot through experiments..so let him continue..
Dravid.. yeah he is anti-thesis of captain sachin. sachin's captaincy was decent but his play suffered. Dravid is as solid as he can be but i am just realising he has no talent for captaincy.. i mean he can inspire the team.. by captain needs to do much more.. he needs to make quick and hard decisions which dravid cant do..which is what ganguly does well and hence became india's best captain..

thats what i am saying.. dont let the series win make us forget the mistakes that were made. its personal opinion that experimetns by the coach are realy bad. let the team be as it is. the tradition way--much better.
i just want to mention that medias attention is suddenly shifted the other side. and in india, we know what an impact media has. thats what i am concerned about

First things first. I dont think the ICC rankings are reflective of anything except that u will know that Australians are world champions.Rest of them ,i dont see much difference.We expect India to beat SA and Pakistan evn when we were ranked at No 7. Dont we?They rank above us in the ratings.A win is afterall a win and a test series win means much more. What do u expect? Media shud report "India wins test series , but mind u we lost the onedays"??.The team got it's due share of criticism when it lost the one days 4-1.Let us give them credit for wat they have acheived. Dont cling on to the onedayers all the time.
As for the one dayers i am sure Ganguly couldn't have done anything different to prevent the 4-1 loss. I am sure he couldn't have stopped yuvraj hitting that shot with one run to win.
Dravid apparently committed only one mistake if u ask me ie he din step up the scorin rate in the third test .Everything else was perfect.If not for his individual brilliance we would have lost the one days 5-0.
That sreesanth episode was more of a gut feeling than anything else and that is what works. Jus that it worked for ganguly many a time and it dint for Dravid this time.
Dont blame the best batsman in modern day cricket who takes it on to himself each time India is in trouble and don give me that shit about bringin ganguly back.He just doesn't deserve a place right now. I have afeeling he'll do better as the Indian coach.So, all fans out there get him to coach us.(for his attitude and hard decisions). I am a big Ganguly fan mind u, but i am a bigger fan of indian cricket.

first things first... i never said ganguly should be bak and yes, win should be celebrated. Point noted and accepted. but it is not a 'successful' westindies tour as stated by many, is it every newspaper or the whole media? and that is what i wanted to point out in my post and if i am not clear.. lets make things clear now.
secondly... we could have won the third one day if it was ganguly(hardcore ganguly fan) and that 'may' be a totally different series then. the field placings and the changing of bowlers was!!! leave it, and shall i bring to ur notice.... sreesanth was given the ball to bowl the last over that day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
last things last... i am not balming the best modern day 'test' batsmen as a batsmen but my emphasis was and is, him being the captain.
PS: seriously dude, u just have to remove from ur mind i am a fan of ganguly. i never mentioned anything abt him being bak and shit, what have i got to read here!!!!! and just to remind you once again i never crtisized dravid as a batsmen
